COVID Policies

All participants and staff present at any ASEE-sponsored, in-person event must provide proof of full vaccination (including booster) or a negative covid test result (rapid or pcr) within 48 hours of the event start.

In accordance with current state, local and venue guidelines, indoor masking at the Workforce Summit will be optional. Note however that this policy is subject to change and will follow all masking requirements set by the CDC, the city of Washington DC, and the Omni Shoreham Hotel.

To facilitate entering the event, Workforce Summit attendees are encouraged to register their contact information as soon as possible with 42Chat. To do so, please fill out the 42Chat contact information form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZGFTFZB

Within 24-48 hours of providing your contact information via the link above, you will be contacted by 42Chat and asked to ‘accept text notifications.’ Once you have accepted text notifications, you will receive a text message from 42Chat with a link to upload documents for verification.

Proof of vaccination (including booster) may be uploaded at any time before the event. Covid tests (rapid or pcr) must be taken and negative results uploaded no earlier than 9 AM ET, Saturday, April 22nd and no later than 12:00 PM ET, Sunday, April 24.”

42Chat requires each individual to upload their own documentation from their own mobile device.

All information shared with 42Chat will be used solely for this event and will not be shared with any other individual, organization or event.

ASEE staff can also check for proof of vaccination (including booster) at the event, but to ease congestion at the registration table attendees are encouraged to use the 42Chat service if they are able.

ASEE will have a limited number of antigen rapid tests available onsite if (a) you are not able to obtain one beforehand, or (b) you would like a second test after going through airports, etc.

Please email conferences@asee.org if you know you will need an on-site rapid test. This will allow ASEE to assemble enough rapid tests in advance, however tests will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be excluded from the meeting.

There will be no exceptions made to these vaccination and testing requirements.
